How can I request an extension to a submission deadline (RESD)?

To get an extension, you need to complete a Request to extend a submission deadline (RESD) via My Student Record.

These are used when unexpected and unanticipated difficulties adversely impact on your studies and your ability to complete assessments (or complete them to the usual standard).

You need to submit a RESD at least 24 hours ahead of your deadline via My Student Record (MSR), together with a copy of any uncompleted work. Please continue to work on your assignment in case your request is not accepted and you need to submit you work by the original deadline.

You will receive a response to your MSR account and by email within 48 hours.

If accepted, an extension of up to 10 working days will be granted.  If you cannot meet the extended deadline speak to your faculty Student Services team to consider whether or not you need to submit a Request to repeat an assessment attempt (RRAA).
