Off Campus Support

We recognise that some students may find it difficult to come on campus for a wellbeing appointment. For example, you may be a distance learner, on placement or have other commitments; perhaps due to a physical disability your mobility is affected; or you may simply prefer to engage with support other than face-to-face. There are a number of options available:

  • Big White Wall is a safe online community that offers help if you’re feeling down, anxious or not coping. People support and help each other by sharing what’s troubling them, guided by trained professionals. It can help you start to take control and get the support you need to feel better. Watch a short video and read more information here.
  • The majority of our self-help materials are available online for a range of specific issues and for more general wellbeing help and guidance
  • For specialist services, most appointments are face-to-face but by special arrangement and where appropriate, we offer telephone appointments. In some cases and by special arrangement we may be able to arrange for sessions to be delivered by email, telephone and/or webcam.
