Support

The Science, Technology and Arts (STA) Placements and Employability Team provides support for all placements and work-based learning in the faculty. These can be 'thick' year-long placements, as undertaken by students in Engineering & Maths and Computing courses, 'thin' sandwich of the MEng Food Engineering courses, or shorter placements of the Science without Borders students.

We provide support for placement students and employers throughout the year, including:

• help with sourcing opportunities
• help with applications (including CV development in conjunction with Employment Advisers)
• management of the health and safety process
• final assessment of placements
