It's not working!

Can't login?

My Student Record uses a security system to protect your records. Some older browsers may not work with that system. If you aren't able to login to My Student Record, you may need to upgrade your web browser - here's how.

If you can access the login page but can't login, email ithelp@shu.ac.uk including your date of birth and your student ID number (this is located directly under your name on your SHU card).

Please note: The SHU wifi network will not allow access to My Student Record for security reasons. Students can only access My Student Record via a wired connection.

I've forgotten my username and/or password

• Check you have used the correct login (your network login) and typed it in correctly
• Check you have used the correct password – have you already changed it? – and typed it in correctly
• Change your password

Passwords for My Student Record were emailed to students at the end of March. If you haven't already accessed My Student Record and changed your password, please check your Gmail inbox or email ithelp@shu.ac.uk. Your username is the same for My Student Record as for other SHU IT services.

Security warning

After following the link to enrol you may see a pop-up security warning message. You can click OK and continue to login as normal.

I can't access the Online Enrolment login page

If your web browser does not support SSL you will not be able to access Online Enrolment and will need to update your browser.

Message "User name expired"

You need to refresh your browser and log in again.

I can login to My Student Record but can't enrol

If you see a message "You have not been configured for portal access'" after you have clicked on the 'Enrol Now' link, this may be because:

• You are not yet eligible to progress - try again after your resit Boards
• The University has not yet updated your progression details - try again in a few days
• You have received notification from your Faculty that you are not eligible for web enrolment

If you think you should be able to enrol online and are unable to, please contact SI Help.

Message "Can't access the server"

The web enrolment server may be offline for some reason. Please try again later.

Error messages - general

For any other error messages, please make a note of the error code (eg EVL_001) and error message and contact IT Help.

Older browsers - upgrading Internet Explorer

To update Internet Explorer download the latest update from the Microsoft website.
